THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a recent development, the Forensic department has found out IAS officer Sriram Venkitaraman's fingerprints from the seatbelt in the driver's side of the car that killed journalist KM Basheer. However, they also revealed that they have not been able to confirm about the fingerprints obtained from the steering of the car.

According to officials, the fingerprints obtained from the seatbelt will be vital in confirming that it was Sriram who drove the car when the accident took place. Meanwhile, the investigating officers also added that they have not yet received the reports regarding the data tests which were conducted to prove that the car was travelling at a very high speed during the time of accident.
