THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP is taking the initiative of forming a new party at the national level with the aim of attracting the Muslim minority to the NDA. The new party is formed taking them into confidence as the Muslim community is still reluctant to get close to the BJP. The party will function as a coalition partner of the NDA. The BJP is also aiming to formulate its constituents, including in Kerala. It has been hinted that a prominent left leader in Kerala has been contacted. However, it is not sure whether he has responded favorably. The new party will be formed after bringing prominent leaders of any party or organization from other states.

At present, there is an organization called Rashtriya Muslim Manch led by RSS. The main organizer of the event is Indresh Kumar, a prominent RSS leader and former Prantha Prachaka of Jammu and Kashmir. With the NDA coming to power at the center again under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the minority groups have expressed interest in working with the coalition. It was on this basis the idea of the new party was formed.

The BJP assumes that the new party will be attractive to those who face many obstacles in taking party membership directly. The BJP is believed to have come to the idea of the new party as part of its efforts to get the minority community, including the Muslim community, to come to their faith. This is in view of the fact that the ban on triple talaq has been widely accepted by the public. This has also prompted decisions taken on issues including Jammu and Kashmir.

However, it is not yet clear how the new party structure will be formed. According to reports, some states have started contacting some leaders and organizations. As a part of this, some leaders in Kerala were also seen. However, some leaders have said that when the party is formed, they will think about it.
