KOCHI: Latest report suggests that the final investigation report regarding Palarivattom flyover corruption will get delayed. Though investigations had begun 3 months ago, sources from the vigilance department said that it will take a minimum of six months to submit the final report.
According to sources, it is the delay in questioning and collection of evidence that will cost much of the time. The officers are doing their best to finish the investigation as early as possible in order to submit the report. The investigation started on May 7th soon after it was found out that there have been certain irregularities in the flyover construction.
The flyover which was inaugurated in 2016, soon appeared in the news as cracks began to appear within a period of just one year. On further inspection, authorities found out major irregularities in the flyover construction which led the government to appoint officials to investigate the issue.
