Actor Mohanlal recently obtained Red FM's best celebrity singer award for the song rendered by him for the film Odiyan beginning ‘Enoruvan’. The award was presented to him by Kaviyoor Ponnamma, who had acted as his mother in many films. The actor himself announced the news to his fans.

The film's director Sreekumar Menon came forward to congratulate the actor on hearing the news. He congratulated the actor by saying that he had told Laletttan that he is sure to get an award for the song. Menon congratulated the actor through a Facebook post. Menon said that he is happier than the actor on this achievement.
