KOLLAM: The cyber cell has found out that the anti-India message that was sent to Kollam Collectorate Control room as Whatapp message originated from a phone in Pakistan.

In the incident that happened under the jurisdiction of Kollam West Police, a case was filed under IT act and handed over to the Cyber cell.
The Cyber Cell has started the investigation with the help of State hi-tech cell. The Central Intelligence agencies have also arrived at the scene.

It is the mobile phone service provider in Pakistan who can give the information about the person who has sent the message but the police believe that this is not that easy.

The message reached at around 10:30 pm on Tuesday. The message is a mix of Hindi and Urdu language but written in English.
Messages like “Hindustan Murdabad, withdraw army from Kashmir” appeared on the WhatsApp phone number.

In the messages there are also strong criticism against Central government and BJP for revoking Kashmir’s special status.

Investigating agencies have confirmed that the message has been sent from a number in use in Pakistan. It is also doubted whether the Pakistan number was hacked from India and the messages were sent from here.

Pro-ISIS WhatsApp group!

Recently, the Cyber cell got the secret information about pro-ISIS WhatsApp group functioning in Kollam district. About three months ago, the link of this group reached the WhatsApp of many people in the district.

The group disappeared as soon as the Cyber Cell sneaked into this group.
