KOCHI: The present situation of the PSC is extremely disappointing and a cause of worry, observed the Kerala High Court. An independent agency should conduct an impartial probe in the police constable exam fraud case. In order to prevent undeserved people entering government jobs, the court directed all recent PSC appointments to be investigated. Only then people will have confidence in the PSC, observed the court.
Meantime, Sivarenjith and Nazeem, accused in the PSC exam fraud case, told the crime branch that the answers were copied using smart watches in the exam hall. The two told the crime branch that it was Pranav, the third accused who conspired the copying plan. The two admitted to the investigating officials that Pranav took the photo of the question paper, sent it outside from the exam hall and after conspiring the scam, conducted a trial. However, they said they don’t know to whom he sent the question paper. Pranav is the plotter of the scam.
It was Pranav who planned the means and strategies for using mobile and smart watch devices to pass exams with the help of internet. He had conducted the trial of getting answers with the help of smart watches after sending the questions outside days before the exam. He experimented after sending the model questions via Whatsapp. The intention was to see if the answers would be available on smart watches within a certain time. When answers were cleverly received on smart watches according to question numbers, they decided to try it out in the battalion police constable exam.
Pranav was one in the team assigned to find and give answers. Gokul, a cop of the SAP camp and Safeer of Kallara were assigned to send answers. There are a lot more in the team, suspects the investigating team.
