PERAMBRA: Alleged hoisting of Pak flag at Perambra Silver College recently, has triggered speculations and protests in the college. As the allegation became controversial, C I Biju did an inquiry and filed a case against 30 identifiable students.

The real reason for the issue was,000 the flag used in connection with College union election. There is wide protest against the incident. As per the instruction of the police, the flag has been produced at the police station.

Central Intelligence agency also reached the college and conducted the inquiry. Meanwhile, College Governing Board Chairman AK Tharuvaayi Haaji said that the mistake of holding the fag of MSF upside down was the reason for confusion.

“The students held a procession on Thursday. As it was holiday for the college on Sunday, the College Principal and Staff Managing Committee will jointly hold enquiries and take necessary action on Monday,” he said.

Meanwhile, BJP workers took out a march to the college in protest against the hoisting of ‘Pak flag’ in between the march of KSU and MSF.

The outer world came to know about the incident only when some students, shouting slogans held the flag, which appeared to be that of Pak flag.

Reacting to the incident, BJP alleged that the terrorists might have sneaked into the college, which had been monopolised by UDF for some time.

The march was inaugurated by BJP State Committee member M Mohanan. “NIA should probe the incident and the management should be made a party in the case. The Muslim League should also explain their stand on the incident,” he demanded.
