PALA: BJP central leadership announced the NDA candidate in the Pala by-poll. The party Kottayam district President N. Hari will be seeking the mandate.

Hari was the NDA candidate in the 2016 Assembly election as well. The NDA meeting on Friday had decided to field a BJP candidate in Pala. The three names raised in the meeting was submitted to the central committee. The UDF on Sunday announced Jose Tom Pulikunnel as the candidate. Mani C. Kappan is the LDF candidate here.
