MOSCOW: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently in Russia, said that no country has the right to interfere in the internal matters of another country. The PM was speaking at a press conference during which he hinted about the Kashmir issue without directly mentioning it.

The PM made the remark when he was asked about the situation in Afghanistan. He said, "Both India and Russia want a strong, sustainable and democratic government to come up in Afghanistan. We also believe that no other country has the right to interfere in the internal affairs of any countries including Afghanistan." Modi also held discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit.

According to Modi, both India and Russia co-operate with each other whenever they are required to do so. "The India-Russia friendship is not restricted to their respective capital cities. We have people at the core of this relationship," he added.
