THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former union minister Arif Mohammed Khan reached Kerala to take charge as the new Governor of Kerala. A team led by Minister K T Jaleel welcomed Khan, who arrived in Air India flight Thursday morning at 8.30 am. He was given a guard of honour. Ministers A K Blan, E Chandrasekharan, Kadannapally Surendran and many other dignitaries received him at the airport. After talking to them for a while, Khan left for Raj Bhavan. He will swear in before High Court Chief Justice Friday morning at 11 am. Khan is the 22nd governor of Kerala.

Meantime, the outgoing governor P Sathasivam was given a send-off at the Thiruvananthapuram Airport last evening. Many including the chief minister and ministers were present at the airport to bid him good bye.
