BENGALURU: ISRO's plan to land Chandrayaan 2's Vikram orbiter on the moon's surface did not go as per the plan. The debacle at the last moment made the whole country disappointed including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now, a video showing the Prime Minister hugging and consoling ISRO chairman K Sivan has gone viral on social media.

The ISRO chairman broke down soon after the PM's address at the headquarters. Following this Modi hugged and consoled him while assuring that the ISRO has made the country proud by its valiant effort. Several users including Central Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, Kiren Rijiju and former Isralian Ambassador have shared the video and showered praises on the PM for his kind gesture. Modi also inspired the whole country by urging the ISRO scientists not to get disheartened by the hurdles in the moon mission Chandrayaan-2 and asserted that there will be a "new dawn".

ISRO's Kannada Twitter page shared, "Just watched @narendramodi ji's address to the ISRO scientists, technicians, and other employees! A lesson in inspirational leadership indeed!
