Indrans was awarded the best actor prize at the Singapore South Asian International Film Festival for his acting in the movie ‘Veyilmarangal’ directed by Dr. Biju. This is the first international honor of Indrans.

The movie had also won Artistic Achievement Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival-a first for an Indian movie.
