RIYADH: Drones struck two Saudi Aramco oil facilities early Saturday, state media said, citing the interior ministry. "The industrial security teams of Aramco started dealing with fires at two of its facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais as a result of... drones," the official Saudi Press Agency reported."The two fires have been controlled," said the ministry.

Meanwhile, authorities have not revealed any details regarding those who are behind the attack. Neither has anyone taken up the responsibility for the attack. The visuals showing the fire spreading in the area is currently doing rounds on social media. According to reports, witnesses have heard gunshots in the region. Earlier in 2006, Al-Qaeda had launched an attack in the Aramco oil facilities.
