Today is Salim Kumar’s 23rd wedding anniversary. On his FB post today, he thanks his wife, mother and remembers the late actor Kalabhavan Mani. The post is going viral.

Translation of his FB post:

Today my marital life completes 23 years. I got married to Sunitha 22 years ago on September 14. I was then a mimicry artiste. I was called to act in cinema the very next day.

On my wedding day, Kalabhavan Mani had come up to the stage and sort of announced to the people, “I have entered cinema, now everyone says that next, it is Salim Kumar’s turn; if Sunitha is lucky that will happen”..

His predicament came true…oh brother it still rings in my ear.

Over these past years, we have never quarrelled with each other seriously…whatever small tiff was there between us, it only had a life of 10 minutes.

I’m 49 and in my life, there are mainly two women who have made me what I’m today. One is my mother Kouslaya and the next is my wife Sunitha.

Three-four years ago, I had a major operation. Even after doctors told my wife to go back to the room and take rest, she stayed put in front of the ICU, until I was shifted to the room.

I was not at all surprised…because it was that long wait that took me to this state… I don’t know whether I can thank my wife, Still…thankyou Sunu.
