KOCHI: Documents clarify that temporary building number was issued by the municipality to builders of Maradu controversial flats. This contradicts the claim of the builders that the flats were operated with full permission and were sold legally.
The documents show that the municipality allotted only the UA number to Alfa Ventures and Jain Housing, the builders of Maradu flats. The UA certifies buildings that are built in violation of the law. Reports say the number was given in the manner that if a court order comes, they should evacuate from flats of the two companies.
The flat owners say the builders sold flats to them by hiding things related to the permission of flats. The owners said the builders are responsible for legal issues in the name of the flats before they purchased them. The owners now seek a judicial probe on the incident.
