THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Latest reports suggest that police have secured exclusive details regarding the PSC exam scam. According to sources, the person who leaked the question papers to the culprits also helped them in finding the correct answers. It is said that while the exams were going on, the culprits stayed near the Hindi department and found the answers using Google Talk. While reports suggest that the person who leaked the question paper might be a classmate of the accused Pranav, the Crime Branch has not confirmed it.
As of now, only Gokul, the policeman arrested in relation to the case, has said that the person who leaked the question paper might be Pranav's classmate. None of the other accused have revealed anything about this. According to police, the accused might be trying to prevent the person from getting involved in the case. Meanwhile, officials are finding it difficult to find major breakthroughs as the mobile phones and smartwatches used for the crime have been destroyed. The only major find regarding the case is the unusual flurry of text messages to the culprits' numbers on the day of the constable exam.
However, police are yet to recover these text messages in order to prove that the messages were used to leak questions and answers. The cyber police are reportedly trying hard to recover these messages. Sources also suggest that the investigating officials are also considering lie detection test in order to bring out the truth from the accused. The Crime Branch has submitted a plea regarding this in the court.
