KOCHI: An elderly woman, living in a poor home in Kochi, was subjected to physical assault by the superintendent. The shocking incident took place at a poor home working under the Kochi Corporation.

The woman, Karthyayani, is currently undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. It is learnt that the woman was beaten after she questioned the superintendent regarding her daughter's excessive work.
