THIRUVANANTAPURM: The government has reshuffled officials in the top IAS and IPS rungs. Armed Battalion ADGP Tomin Thachankary was appointed as Crime ADGP on Wednesday, as well. Thus, he will hold twin posts.

Chaithra Teresa John, who is in charge of Anti-Naxal squad was given the additional responsibility of Indian Reserve Battalion commandant.
IT and Technology SP Dr Divya Gopinath has been given the additional responsibility of Women Battalion commandant.

A P M Muhammad Haneesh was removed from the post of Kochi Metro Managing Director. The new appointment of him is as Labour Skill department secretary.

Former Publics Works Secretary T O Sooraj had given the statement that former minister Ebrahim Kunju and Muhammad Haneesh, who was in charge of RBDCK, had roles in Palarivattom corruption.

This is said to be the reason for this change of position. Alkesh Kumar Sharma is the new MD of Kochi Metro. Devikulam sub-collector V R Renuraj has also been appointed as Deputy Secretary in Public Administration department. The new appointment has come soon after Renuraj’s promotion.
