Captain Raju is no more but his film Mr Pavanayi that was completed five years ago will reach theatres on Thursday, being his first death anniversary.

Captain Raju’s dearest character named Pavanayi in the hit film Nadodi Kattu is the central character of the film Mr Pavanayi, which he himself had directed.

Actor Vijayarghavan’s son Devadevan and actress Ponnababu’s daughter Pinky are playing the leads.

Captain Raju has given rebirth to the character Pavanayi with the twist that the latter who fell into the swimming pool during the fight scene in Nadodikattu did escape.

It was Captain Raju’s second directorial venture. Mr Pavanayi will be screened in 30 theatres. The shooting location was captain Raju’s hometown in Pathanamthitta.
