BALUSSERI: A youth died after falling into a pit while engrossed in a mobile call. The dead has been identified as Vipin Raj (28) of M M Parambu. The incident happened last night. He fell in the pit dug for constructing a lift for the building which is under construction.

His friend told police that while they were having food, a call came and he went out. He told police that Vipin Raj was seen talking on the phone but did not return. His body was found in the pit in a search conducted by the police and the locals. Police said he may have fallen into the pit while talking on his mobile phone. Vipin Raj was an employee of a private chocolate company.
