KOCHI: More evidences have been revealed against T O Sooraj, former public works secretary, related to the corruption in Palarivattom flyover. The vigilance filed a fresh affidavit in the high court regarding this. The vigilance pointed in the court that there are more evidences for the corruption involving officials. Sooraj admitted that he bought properties worth 3.25 crore in his son’s name and gave black money of Rs 2 crore.
The vigilance said they are collecting evidences against former minister Ebrahim Kunju. They also sought more time to expose the role of Kunju. The bail pleas of the four accused including T O Sooraj have been submitted in the court. The pleas of contract company MD Sumit Goyal, roads and bridges corporation former AGM M T Thankachan and KITCO joint general manager Benny Paul are being considered.
Meantime, Sooraj informed the court that as a secretary he just signed the order of the minister. The vigilance arrested Sooraj on August 30. All the accused have been charged with corruption, cheating and misappropriation of funds.
