THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress M P Muraleedharan has lampooned the BJP for not fielding veteran leader Kummanam Rajasekharan in Vattiyoorkavu constituency for the upcoming by-election.

“Like Rajagopal, Kummanam Rajasekharan was also getting ready to make history by losing and losing election. But a top BJP leader of Kerala ‘cut out that apron’.

Muraleedharan made this whacky comment while speaking during his campaign at Vattiyoorkavu for the UDF candidate K Mohan Kumar.

“I’m not going to disclose the names of the BJP leader but his name has similarity with my name. What is existing in Kerala is not CoLeB tie-up but Marxist-BJP tie-up. Pinarayi Vijayan who came to power with the votes of minority communities are now taking stands to help the BJP.

“The BJP has fielded a weak candidate to help the CPM candidate win the election. By making Suresh the candidate, the votes will flow to the CPM. As a quid pro quo, the CPM will do cross voting for Surendran in Konni,” Muraleedharan alleged.
