ISLAMABAD: Latest media reports suggest that Pakistan is slowly heading towards a soft military coup. As per sources, Pakistan's Army chief recent talks with the country's top business leaders hint at an immediate coup in the country. Though officials claim that the meeting was held to discuss the economic crisis in the country, PM Imran Khan's absence suggests otherwise.
As per the report, Army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa had privately met top business leaders at Rawalpindi. However, details about the discussion are yet to be known. It must be noted that earlier reports suggested that Imran Khan had allotted immense freedom to the army.
It must be noted that the 111th brigade had played a crucial role in two out of the four military coups in Pakistan. The country had witnessed military coups in 1958, 1969, 1977 and 1999.
