KOZHIKODE: More details about multiple killings at Koodathayil near here are emerging. Accused Jolly’s first prey was her husband Roy’s mother Annamma Thomas but she succeeded in killing her only on the second attempt, according to sources in the police.

Annamma Thomas once had been admitted in a private hospital in Kozhikode for the treatment of some unknown disease. Despite conducting many tests, doctors could not find out the exact cause for her illness.

Following this, Annamma’s husband gave a complaint against the hospital. The details coming out now show that Annamma fell ill after she unknowingly consumed cyanide.

The hospital authorities could not find out the poisonous substance in Annamma’s blood. This turned favourable for Jolly. In her second attempt, she could kill Annamma, without giving room for even a small doubt.

It was Annamma who looked after the affairs of their house. Soon after her death, Jolly started handling the financial affairs of the household, which was also her intention for the murder.
