KOZHIKODE: Police have taken Koodthayi murder case accused Jolly’s second husband Shaju into custody. On Monday morning he was first called to the Crime branch office for questioning as the investigation team got more evidence against him. He was later taken to SP office for intense interrogation and his arrest is likely to happen later in the day.

In a new twist to the case, the investigation has also extended to a retired SI. The Crime Branch has asked former Kozhancherry SI Ramanunni to appear for interrogation.

It was Ramanunni who had then found out that Roy’s death was a suicide. At that time, no investigation was carried out on the traces of Pottassium Cyanide found inside Roy’s body. (Roy is Jolly’s first husband)

Meanwhile, more people have come under the purview of investigation. 11 persons are under investigation. Police have summoned a BSNL employee and two social workers who had contacts with Jolly for questioning.

The crime branch had raided one of their houses. Among the 11, there is also a person who helped Jolly to forge Will.
