KOZHIKODE: Sijo Sebastian, brother of Sily and first wife of Shaju, said that his family was against the marriage of Jolly, main accused in the Koodathayi murders, with Shaju. Shaju had stated earlier that it was Sijo who forced him to marry Jolly.

Sijo told the crime branch team probing the case that the marriage was not held with our permission. None of our family members attended the function. Sijo had told the team that were some family issues between his sister Sily and Shaju. Sijo’s another sister Smitha too came to give her statement.

Shaju had told the media and investigating team that many including Sily’s brother forced him to marry Jolly. Sily died in 2016.
