KOZHIKODE: Now, the Crime Branch is also reportedly planning to investigate a few other that have happened in Koodathayi. The Crime branch will soon investigate the death of Bichunni, who was the friend and neighbour of accused Jolly’s first husband Roy Thomas.

Bichunni, who was a plumper, used to go to Roy Thomas’ house occasionally. After Roy died in 2011, Bichunni was one of the persons who had opined that his unnatural death was mysterious.

Bichunni’s sister’s husband later said that the former died after taking his dinner. All six murders allegedly committed by Jolly between 2002 and 2016 had the same pattern. When Annamma died in 2002 and her husband Tom Thomas died in 2008, the general impression in the family was that all those were natural deaths. Hence, no post-mortem was done on the bodies.

In 2011, Jolly’s husband Roy Thomas died. At that time, the post-mortem was done only because Annamma’s brother Mathew and a few others insisted on it.
But the case was closed after concluding it as a case of suicide.
In 2014, Mathew also died. Like Mathew, Bischunni also had expressed doubts over the Roy’s death and now the doubt is that Jolly might have killed Bichunni too as she killed Mathew for having doubts about Mathew’s death.
