KOZHIKODE: The recently dismissed leader of CPI (M), K. Manoj, has come to the fore responding to the allegations against him in relation to the Koodathayi serial murders. Manoj said that he just signed some papers and Jolly betrayed him. He said Jolly forged a will using his sign. However, as his name was heard in relation to the murders, Manoj, who was a local secretary in Kattangal, was dismissed from the party.
The party took this action as it might taint its reputation. Also, there were documents of money dealing between Jolly and Manoj. It is learnt that a detailed interrogation might be done later. Manoj’s dismissal was announced through a press release by CPI (M) district secretary P. Mohanan.
