KOZHIKODE: Praji Kumar, arrested in the Koodathayi multiple murders, said cyanide was given to kill greater bandicoot rat (peruchazhi). He was responding to the media when taken to the court. He said Mathew bought the cyanide from me in the pretext of killing the rat.

The investigating team had already found contradictions in Praji Kumar’s statements. The investigating team found that Kumar had given cyanide to many. Kumar had earlier told police that he has no long relationship with Mathew, but it was found that before his arrest he had spoken to Mathew for an hour.

Kumar said that he was not aware of Jolly’s conspiracy and gave the cyanide to Mathew to kill the rat. M S Mathew, who gave the cyanide to Jolly, was also arrested in the case. The three were produced in the court today.
