KOZHIKODE: The wife of Praju Kumar, one of the accused in Koodathayi murder case, has said that her husband has been trapped in the case.

Sharanya said her husband was not a friend of Jolly and he will prove his innocence and come back. “Mathew was known to my husband for the past 25 years as part of the job.,” she said.

“For us, it is impossible to work without cyanide. I have full trust in my husband that he will not misuse Cyanide. The truth should come out. I also have trust in the officers who are investigating the case. I shall cooperate with them in the case,” Sharanya said.

Earlier, when questioned, Prajukumar said that he didn’t know Mathew. But the police had got the evidence of long telephonic conversation between Prajukumar and Mathew.

After the police found out that it was Prajukumar who gave Cyanide to Jewellery staff Mathew, the former changed his statement. He told police that Mathew took cyanide from him, saying that he needed it for killing bandicoots.
