KOZHIKODE: Jolly, the cyanide killer told police that she had tried to murder her second husband. On interrogation, she told police that she tried to murder her second husband Shaju, a teacher and her friend Johnson’s wife. She tried to murder the two to marry BSNL employee Johnson. By killing Shaju, she aimed to get into government service on compassionate grounds.

Johnson had earlier told police that he had a friendly relationship with Jolly. The police had found that Jolly had gone to Coimbatore to meet Johnson. As part of the probe, the police had inquired as to why Jolly had gone to Coimbatore.

Jolly had revealed the script of the five out of the six murders to police the other day. Jolly was taken to Ponnamattom House and her husband Shaju’s as part of collecting evidence. After that on questioning she told police the way she killed them. She had denied her role in the deaths of Shaju’s first Sily and daughter Alphine.
