MALAPPURAM: A woman attempted suicide after killing her baby. The woman identified as Aneeza, native of Kohinoor at Thenjippalam in Malappuram tried to commit suicide after killing her three and a half months old baby.

Police said Aneeza strangulated her baby to death. After committing the crime, she tried to slit her wrist and commit suicide. Her neighbours who saw this soon informed the police.

Aneeza who fell unconscious was taken to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital by the police and neighbours. The woman was reported to have some minor mental issues due to family problems.
