KOZHIKODE: In a recent development, the prime accused in Koodathayi murders Jolly has admitted to murdering Alphine, police said. According to officials, Jolly has confessed that she had killed Alphine by applying cyanide to the bread that was given to the child. However, she added that it was Shaju's sister who fed the bread to Alphine.

It is learnt that Shaju's sister had kept some bread in order to feed the child. Jolly, who knew about this, dipped her finger in a bottle of cyanide and applied it to the bread. With the latest revelation, police have confirmed that all the six murders were committed by Jolly herself. According to sources, Alphine was murdered as Jolly feared her to be an obstruction in marrying Shaju.

Meanwhile, sources said that the investigating officials are still observing Shaju and might even consider calling him up to collect more evidence. On the other hand, Jolly has started cooperating with the investigation, sources added.
