KOZHIKODE: As the revelations made by Jolly, prime accused in the Koodathayi murder case, is shocking the entire state, investigating officials revealed that the culprit had made various plans to interrupt investigation. According to officials, Jolly used to tell her family members that the opening of graves can cause problems to the spirits. It is learnt that Jolly had intended to disrupt the investigation by spreading such superstitions.
"Once we produced the official letter regarding the opening of graves, things went out of her control. I haven't witnessed a similar case in my entire career or in the history of Kerala police. Jolly is a brilliant murderer and does not have any psycho traits. Had she done all these crimes alone, it would have been impossible to catch her and that is why I have brought IPS trainees to study the case. Both the case and the culprit are equally complex," SP Simon said.
Earlier, Jolly's friend Eliyamma had said that Jolly had revealed her fear about the opening of graves. She even expressed panic before the opening of graves, Eliyamma added. The mystery regarding the Koodathayi murders got unfolded once the Crime branch conducted tests on dead bodies of Ponnamattam family members after opening their graves.
