NEW DELHI: National Investigation Agency IG Alok Mittal on Monday said that a majority of 127 people, who were arrested for having links with ISIS, have been radicalized by the speeches and videos of controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik. The revelation was made by Mittal during a conference of anti-terror teams on Monday.

Out of the 127 people arrested for suspected ISIS links, largest number of people come from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. During the conference, NIA director Yogesh Chander Modi addressed the various terrorist threats faced by the nation. He also pointed out the increasing influence of the Bangladesh-based terror outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh in states like Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra etc.
