KODUNGALLOOR: The miscreant, who is accused of breaking into Mathilakam St Joseph School and stealing Rs 3.75 lakh, is learnt to have used the money for his lavish life and hen-fight in Tamil Nadu.
The accused, Vadanappilli native and Rayammarakkar resident Suhail (41), was arrested the other day by Mathilakam SI K P Mithun and team.
The robbery was committed in the wee hours of June 27 this year. The money stolen was the collection taken from the school students for buying school uniform.
Suhail is an accused in several cases registered in different stations in the State. After coming out of the jail in 2018 on bail, he was arrested again in about six vehicle theft cases.
Last February, he was again out of jail and it was during this time that he committed the robbery at the school. After that he stole Rs One lakh from Varappuzha area on the same day.
In the investigation conducted, police also discovered that he had stolen pick-up vans from Aluva, Paravur, Pattambi and Mannarkkadu.
