KALPETTA: The Vatican rejected Sister Lucy Kalappura’s plea filed against the action of expelling her from Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC). Vatican rejected the plea after accepting the decision of FCC.

In Latin, the letter indicates that the Vatican has upheld all the allegations levelled against Sister Lucy.

The Vatican is of the stand that Sister Lucy acted contrary to church rules. The notice issued by the FCC made this clear. The FCC pointed that despite warnings, she led a lifestyle not matching the rules of the church. She filed a plea against this.
