KOZHIKODE: In the Koodathai murder case, the police custody of main accused Jolly and two others have been extended by two days, i.e. till Friday. The police had sought extension by three days though.

The bail plea of the accused will be considered on Saturday. The police on Wednesday produced the accused in Thamarassery court as their period of seven-day custody had ended.

The police sought the extension of custody of the three accused in order to collect evidence from Coimbatore. They told the court that Praji Kumar had arranged to send Cyanide from Coimbatore.

Meanwhile, the accused told the court that they had no complaints against the police. In between, the court allowed Praji Kumar’s wife to talk with him for about ten minutes.

Meanwhile, police are recording the statements of Tehsildar Jayasree who had allegedly helped Jolly to forge Will. Jayasree presented herself before the Deputy Collector today also.

The Crime branch earlier reached Pulikkayam to record the statements of Shaju’s father Zachariya. Shaju (Jolly’s current husband) was also summoned to Payyoli Crime Branch office, questioned and sent back.
