THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rains have intensified in some parts of Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram. As the rains have poured down for six hours straight, the travel to Ponmudi has been put on hold for two days. The area of Ponmudi and Kallar Agasthyar received strong showers from the 11 am. There were flash floods in Ponnan Chund Bridge and Manali Bridge.

The district administration has issued an alert for the Killiyar region. A waterlog was formed in Balussery in Kozhikode. Traffic was hindered in Kannadi Poyi and Panjippara region. People are being evacuated from low regions. The rain is continuing in some rural areas of Kozhikode.
