KONNI: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala came forward with a reply to Minister K T Jaleel who sought a probe on the high marks obtained by the former’s son in civil services examination in 2017. Chennithala said Jaleel may be worried about my son getting 210th rank in the civil service examination. Jaleel said that I was in Delhi at the time of my son’s interview. Will another person go for my son’s interview or should I send somebody else’ father for my son’s interview, asked Chennithala at the press meet convened in Konni.

Jaleel levelled the allegation against Chennithala at the press meet in Kasargod. The opposition leader’s son got 30 marks for the interview than Anudeep Shetty, who got first rank in civil services written exam. Those who lobbied in Delhi for this purpose cannot be blamed if they think of themselves as others. The opposition leader should himself should seek a probe on it. Jaleel had yesterday demanded action to maintain the transparency of the PSC as well as UPSC.

Meantime, mark donation at M G University was with the knowledge of Jaleel and he misused power, alleged Chennithala. He said by donating marks, an extraordinary step was seen at MG University making all the failed students pass. Is this moderation, asked Chennithala? If examined university rules, one can understand. If this is the case, then why are exams conducted, asked Chennithala.
