CHENNAI: Yesteryear actress TP Radhamani(67), who was predominantly present in Malayalam films, passed away yesterday. The actress has been suffering from cancer for the last one year.
The actress, who started her career at the age of 14, had acted in more than 150 films across various languages. Radhamani is survived by her husband Thanayalal and son Abhinay. Cremation will take place at 11 am today in Chennai.
Earlier, Kaumudi had published a report about Radhamani's financial struggles to undergo treatment. Following this, Cultural minister AK Balan had handed over Rs 1 lakh as financial aid for her treatment.
Radhamani is known for her characters in films such as Utharayanam, Mudra, Aaranyakam, Hitler and Chennai Express.
