THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior CPM leader and former Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan on Wednesday took a dig at communal organizations in the state. His criticism was directed mainly against the NSS which openly supported UDF during the recent by-election.

According to VS, caste politics is a threat to democracy and communal organizations have no role in politics. "NSS and SNDP have failed miserably in politics. The strategy followed by NSS would prove to be a big failure by tomorrow," he said. He further added that there is no place for caste politics in LDF.
