THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet on Wednesday announced Rs 10 lakhs as financial aid to the family of Apheel Johnson, the boy who died after being hit by a hammer during the Junior Athletic Meet in Pala. The decision was made during a cabinet meeting held in the morning.

Apheel, who had been put on ventilator support, breathed his last on Monday evening.
