THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF candidate VK Prasanth on Thursday created history by registering a huge win in Vattiyoorkavu by-election. However, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has refused to give credit to the LDF government.

According to Tharoor, the credit for the victory goes to Prasanth alone and not to the LDF government."The people of Vattiyoorkavu gave importance to individuals rather than political parties. That is the reason behind Prasanth's victory. However, the victory cannot be considered as people's affinity towards the LDF government," he said.

He further questioned the developmental activities taken up by the government in the last three years. "This is Prasanth's personal victory. However, this will not be repeated in 2021 as people will be voting for a new government. People will not be voting for a government which has done nothing considerable in the last five years," he added.
