MALAPPURAM: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) activist hacked to death in Tanur. Isahak (36), a native of Anchudi is the deceased. The IUML blamed CPI (M) for the murder.

Locals rushed to the spot on hearing screams found Isahak who was hacked to the ground. He was taken to Tirur taluk hospital, but his life couldn't be saved. Earlier, a CPI (M) activist was hacked in Anchudi. It is suspected that this murder is linked to that. The dead body is at Tirur district hospital. Police have camped in large numbers in the area.

Meanwhile, CPI (M) has denied the allegations and the district committee in its statement said that personal vendetta was the reason for the attack.
