KOZHIKODE: A woman who eloped with her lover, leaving behind her husband and three under-aged children, has been arrested. The man has also been arrested.

The arrested persons are Wayanad Manthadi natives Azeena (36) and Nishal (32). They were arrested from Kolkata on Saturday. Azeena along with her husband and three children had gone to hospital for his treatment on October 17.

By evening, Nishal reached the hospital and the duo fled to Kolkata. Nishal was working abroad and he had reached hometown on October 16. He is also married and has a three-year-old daughter.

Azeena’s three sons are of the ages 10, 14 and 17. The police have filed a case against the duo as per the Juvenile Justice Act and remanded them to judicial custody.
