Tovino Thomas will play Chacko in ‘Kurup’ based on the life of Kerala’s most wanted criminal Sukumara Kurup. The film produced by Dulquer Salmaan is directed by Sreenath Rajendran. Sukumara Kurup, a fugitive escaped from the police after burning to death film representative Chacko in 1984. Kurup misled the company to get the insurance amount of Rs 30 lakhs that it was he who was killed.
Sreenath Rajendran who debuted through Dulquer’s ‘Second Show’ has Indrajith, Sunny Wayne and Shine Tom Chacko along with the top two. Noted model and dancer Shobitha Dhulipala is the heroine of the film. The first schedule of the film was completed in Palakkad and surrounding places. The second schedule will start in January. Mumbai and Ahmedabad are the main locations. The film produced by Wayfarer Films along with M Star Productions has script by K S Aravind and Daniel Sayuj Nair.
Dulquer and Tovino were first seen together in ABCD. Tovino’s villain role was a break for him. His other new films are Jude Anthany Joseph’s ‘2403 ft’ and Basin Joseph’s ‘Minnal Murali’. Tovino is presently acting in ‘Forensic’ which has screenplay and dialogues by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan.
Dulquer is presently shooting for Anoop Sathyan’s film in Chennai. He will join the second schedule of ‘Kurup’ on November 9. After completing this film, he will join for the Tamil film directed by noted choreographer Brinda. Dulquer has Roshan Andrews and Joy Mathew’ films also.
