In a late-night encounter on Monday, Thunderbolt commandos of Kerala police had gunned down four Maoists including a woman. The police have seen this incident in which they were able to eliminate four armed insurgents, who were allegedly a threat to regional security, as a matter of big relief and pride.
But there are many who have spoken against the government action.Actor-director-producer Joy Mathew on his FB post has taken a dig at the government action against the backdrop of Walayar case verdict.
On his Facebook page he sarcastically says Maosists are people who commit such ‘anti-national activities’ like writing on walls, pasting posters and collecting rice, sugar etc. from Adivasi people. Even after having guns in their hands, they don’t shoot woman abusers, corrupt or those who kill children and hang them. Instead, they hide inside forests unnecessarily.
In the name of Che Guevara, I congratulate comrade Pinarayi Vijayan, who saved the poor people of Kerala by shooting and killing four of the above insurgents through a terrific shootout and his cops , who didn’t even sustain a minor scratch injury”
