NEW DELHI: National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has said that it will be sending a team to inquire into the facts that had led to the acquittal of men accused of raping and hanging two under-aged girl children in Walayar.
Commission chairman Priyank Kanoongo informed that the four-member team will be visiting the girl’s house on Thursday. “There will also be a Supreme Court advocate in the team. The statements of the parents of the child will be recorded. The report of the inquiry will be submitted along with a copy of the court order,” he told a private channel, adding that if needed, financial aid would also be given to the girl’s family.
