PALAKKAD: The inquest report in the Walayar case related to the death of two minor sisters say that there were injury marks on the body of younger sister. The injury was in the right armpit. But nothing about this was mentioned in the report submitted in the court.
A copy of mahazar prepared at the crime scene also has come out. In this, it is said that during the time of the girl’s death, one chair over the other was placed on the cot and there was nothing else unnatural inside the room. The room was not orderly.
But Mahazar report is giving more validity to the allegation that it was a planned murder and the report itself is seen as an attempt to sabotage the case from the beginning.
Despite the relatives sticking to their stand that the deaths were not suicides, the police didn’t give due consideration to the unnatural facts related to the death and were not ready to investigate the case in that direction.
The 132 cm tall girl was seen hanging in a piece of cloth from a ceiling 3 metre high. This fact was also not considered. In the charge sheet, it is mentioned that the elder sister who died was sexually abused. The sexual abuse and rape continued till January 17, 2017 when she died. The girl was sexually abused in her aunt’s house and in the house of the accused.
However, the revelation of the younger sister that she had seen two persons covering their faces and leaving the house on January 17 was not recorded in the charge sheet.
But the step father’s statement that he had seen the accused abusing the child has found mention in it.
On the other hand, the mother gave the statement that her daughter might have committed suicide to escape from rapists and as she was left with no other option.
In the charge sheet there is also mention of the statement of the girl’s friend who quoted the victim as having told her that she had injuries on her body, caused by men abusing her.
